Project Overview
An AI-powered companion platform for older adults (60+) in Hammersmith & Fulham. Through natural conversations with Indi, participants can share their experiences and discover relevant local support for wellbeing, health, loneliness, bereavement, and everyday challenges — in a safe, accessible, and easy-to-use environment.

Designed a scalable and accessible design system tailored for older adults, establishing consistent patterns for typography, colour, spacing, components, and interactions. High-fidelity interfaces were crafted with a focus on simplicity, readability, and trust, ensuring users could comfortably navigate conversations with Indi and access personalised support with confidence.

Research
Conducted workshops and stakeholder sessions to understand the needs of older adults (60+) in Hammersmith & Fulham. Explored challenges around loneliness, wellbeing, digital confidence, bereavement, and access to local services. Identified accessibility requirements and opportunities for AI-assisted support.

Define
Defined key user personas, journey maps, and success criteria. Mapped emotional and practical needs across different life situations, ensuring the platform could provide relevant guidance while maintaining a warm, non-clinical experience.
03.
Ideate
Explored conversation flows, support pathways, and interaction models for Indi, the AI companion. Created low-fidelity wireframes and prototypes to simplify navigation, reduce cognitive load, and encourage meaningful engagement.
04.
Validate
Tested prototypes with stakeholders and community representatives to assess usability, accessibility, and conversational tone. Refined content, interaction patterns, and recommendation journeys based on feedback to ensure clarity and trust.
