The Challenge

Create a digital support platform for older adults (60+) that feels approachable, safe, and human. Many participants may have limited confidence with technology and face challenges such as loneliness, bereavement, health concerns, or practical day-to-day difficulties. The solution needed to encourage open conversation without clinical language, complex forms, or overwhelming interfaces while remaining fully accessible and inclusive.

The Challenge

Healthcare organizations often rely on fragmented and manual processes for patient preparation, clinical assessments, and administrative management. Patients face lengthy forms and unclear preparation requirements, while clinicians and administrators struggle with inefficient workflows, data visibility, and coordination across teams. The challenge was to create a unified platform that simplifies these processes for Patients, Doctors, Nurses, Trust Admins, and Super Admins.

The Solution

Designed a role-based healthcare platform that digitizes patient preparation, assessments, clinical reviews, and administrative workflows. The solution streamlines information collection, improves collaboration between healthcare stakeholders, and provides intuitive experiences tailored to each user type. By centralizing workflows and automating key processes, Prep Asure improves operational efficiency, patient readiness, and clinical decision-making.

The Solution

Designed an AI-powered companion platform centred around Indi, a conversational assistant that gently guides participants through meaningful check-ins and helps surface relevant local support services. The experience prioritises simplicity, accessibility, and trust through large touch targets, clear navigation, high-contrast visuals, scalable typography, and a warm conversational tone. The platform delivers personalised recommendations and next steps while ensuring a respectful, non-judgemental experience for older adults.

Design system & Interface Design

Created a scalable and consistent design system to support multiple user roles across the platform. Established reusable components, typography, spacing, form patterns, and interaction guidelines to ensure a cohesive experience across patient, clinician, and administrative interfaces. The system accelerated development while maintaining usability, accessibility, and visual consistency throughout the product.

Conducted stakeholder workshops and discovery sessions to understand patient preparation, clinical assessment, and administrative workflows. Identified operational challenges, user needs, and opportunities to improve efficiency across Patients, Doctors, Nurses, Trust Admins, and Super Admins.

Defined user personas, system roles, workflow requirements, and success criteria. Mapped end-to-end journeys for patient onboarding, assessments, clinical reviews, and administrative processes to establish a clear product vision and platform structure.

Explored multiple workflow models and role-based experiences to simplify complex healthcare processes. Created user flows, information architecture, wireframes, and interactive prototypes to validate navigation, usability, and task completion across different user groups.

Validate

Reviewed concepts and workflows with stakeholders to ensure alignment with clinical and operational requirements. Iteratively refined user journeys, interfaces, and platform interactions based on feedback, usability considerations, and business objectives.

Deliver

Delivered high-fidelity designs, scalable design systems, developer-ready specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and workflow documentation. Collaborated closely with engineering teams to ensure successful implementation across patient, clinician, and administrative portals.
